Why do i have so much trouble talking to THE girl? How can i overcome this?

I can talk with almost any girl and make her laugh and make her like me, except for the one I really like. I'm afraid to say something 'cause I think she's gonna think it's stupid and just an excuse for me to talk to her. The last part is correct, I AM saying something to her just to talk with her, I'm not really interested in what I'm saying to her. I think that's the main difference between talking to girls and talking to THE girl.Why do i have so much trouble talking to THE girl? How can i overcome this?
It's always nerve-wracking to talk to someone you really like. Make a list of things you would like to talk about because then you will have an idea on where to start. Then when you talk to her, one of the topics on your list will come back to you (because you shouldn't have the list with you when you're with her) and you can start from there.Why do i have so much trouble talking to THE girl?
