Ok, so I just wanna ask this girl to the movies. But I get shy to have a conversation with her. If I do, it's during with friends. I used to be in exact same situation and I can fully understand how you are feeling about this. Here is my suggestion.



- Make you first move during with friends. Just ask everyone in the group including this girl if they want to watch movie. This way, you can find out what kind of movie she likes, comedy, thriller, etc. She may or she may not join you, but you would know her taste at least. I suggest that you go out in a group first before you make your next move. Make sure you sit next to her in group movie outings!

-Try to strike up a random conversation with her, asking her questions like, ';what's your plan for the weekend?'; or ';do you often go to the movies?'; or ';what's the latest movie you watched?';. If there is a movie that you both watched, bingo!. You can talk all about it. Depending on how you approach this, she will feel your very intentions.

-Think positive. You are shy to ask her out because you may be thinking of negative outcome (being refused). Well you do not know until you try so think positive and give it a shot. It is more than likely that this girl will say YES. Girls do like attention from guys and she will appreciate that you ask.

-Be confident. Girls like confident guys and therefore show this girl that you are a confident. Compliment her. Be confident, but not arrogant.

Well, the easiest way is to talk to her by chat/text, it gives you some time to come up with a response without any real pressure. Just start up a convo with her and say something like ';so you got any plans this weekend?'; and then you could say that you were thinking about going to a movie and why not ask her. And if you feel shy, you could always make it a SMALL group outing (like 4 people or so total).
Tell her your taking her to the movies. Don't ask. If she says no, then say something funny. Such as, ';what's wrong your mom won't let you out after dark?'; Then insist on her going. If she continues to resist just tell her what time your picking her up.
