How do I go up to a girl and talk to her casually?

I know this girl in my class who just broke up in a relationship with her ex. I know who she is and I don't have the courage to talk to her. We don't talk and I want to be friends with her first before I get to ask her to go out with me. My friends are telling me to go for it and ask her out directly. You got the right thing, be her friend first before asking her out don't rush things esp. to this one since she just came from a failed relationship. Well if she doesn't know you directly then its a bad idea. Going in directly is easier to get rejected. So try to start a conversation with her. Compliment her nicely then get it slowly from there. When she can trust you or like to be with you, ask her out. But don't sound desperate or clingy. Try being yourself.

i agree with the first one but this is how i play it out, talk to her Friends first so then it seems like that you just want to hang out then you talk to her but remember to talk to everybody not just her or they will find out.
