How do I get a slightly shy girl to talk to me?

There's a girl who only shares one class with me that doesn't really talk to me. On assignments she always asks me questions first before asking others. She never chats to me on Facebook, but when I chat with her, she always says I'm ';so smartt';. She says she needs help in science class. (that one class) How do I get her to talk to me more?How do I get a slightly shy girl to talk to me?

Be persistent and funny. Make her laugh. When she asks for help it should be easy to slide in a joke or a two to make her feel more comfortable and have a more social atmosphere.
go slow with it...dont overwhelm her....shes shy so just make her feel confident...give her compliments and listen intently when she talks...if she knows that you like talking to her then chances are she'll talk to you more...you just need to help boost her confidence and show her you have an interest in getting to know her better :)

well...do you like her? and just talk to her first, make small conversation. talk to her FIRST do you know how nervewrecking it is for a girl to try talking to a guy? especialy if she's shy. (it doesnt mean she likes you, but just hte thought of talking to a guy probably makes her nervous)
ask to join her in a study session, or offer to tudor her. that'll give the opportunity to talk and be friendly with her, but not on a total 'date' level.

tell her how shes bin,what does she like to do for fun,also what music she likes,stuff like that then ask her if she would like to chill with you sometime...
just talk to her a lot, and have stuff to talk about, stuff normal people can relate with. there's nothing worse than a potential conversation being awkward
I'm shy. Really shy. I would love it if a guy just had the courage to come up to me and start talking. I would still be shy, but if he was persistant about it, and not in a weird stalker kind of way, then i would warm up, meaning the guy would be the one to break the ice. Relieves some of the pressure off the girl, you know.
