How do i talk to this girl who sometimes sits with me on the bus?

there's this really cute girl on my bus that A LOT of my friends know. sometimes we sit together on the bus but we usually have really short convos that don't last the whole ride. i don't wanna make it all awkward being quite. she seems like a really nice person who i wanna be friends with. i just have problems with the conversations. aka i suck at talking to girls lol.How do i talk to this girl who sometimes sits with me on the bus?
when she's just sitting there not talking to anyone else just like ask her about her funky key chain or her tshirt from costa rica or something and then ask her to tell you about it and be a good listener, don't worry, it just takes a little bit of practice, you'll be fine :]

The most important thing is to be yourself no matter what. Depends on your age, I would have to assume that you are in high school. Talk to her about the school life like what does she have in this semester. Ask her if she joins any extra-activities in the school. Also, talk about her hobbies and I really hope the conversation elaborates more and hopefully last for the whole ride.
i used to have the same problems... i got myself into a job where i have to talk to people... im a cashier and such i have to have conversations... it is a skill you learn... just talk about your day... or the last night... anything funny or interesting thats happened to you... your family... your pets... its endless.. if she makes a statment on a topic... ask her a question about it.

put a comedic twist on your stories.. they make them much more fun to be heard
Try making her laugh once and a while, try not to sound too needy

however i agree with the first two answers, you can incorporate all of these into your conversations and stuff.
